Coming from Georgia, I have heard that Connecticut is cold. However, I like cold weather. I like any change in weather that is not normal....thats a better description. But in terms of the cold, you can put on a jacket, coat, or perhaps a beanie. And yes, I did say beanie, not tabogon! So hopefully the temps won't be too big of an adjustment. I might have to buy a new tobogon! However, up until two days ago I was beginning to think it was a hoax....highs in the 50s?...whats that. I spent a little time in Colorado and vowed I would eventually find my way back! It hasn't happened yet. Each October my soul looks west and yearns for a snowy winter of riding powder. So, to satisfy my professional goals and strong need for a colder, more snowy climate, I moved to Connecticut. My experience thus far has been eventful. Who new so many wineries existed in CT? I have visited all of them...just about! The new england beer is good too....The new england fall lived up to its reputation. I have never seen so many colors on trees in my lifetime. Georgia's fall is typically colorful, but due to poor rainfall the past several years has been lacking. My wife likes the show Gilmore Girls. For her the move was a myopic hope to live in Stars-Hollow. Albeit, she likes our little town. She started teaching public middle school in Hartford. After one shooting and a stabbing, she moved to a new middle school outside of Hartford. She works hard! Currently, I am waiting ever so patiently on snow. I know it won't be as soft and fluffy as Colorado snow, but it will be white and frozen. So, as for now...I'm waiting...
...oh, and why can't the weather people be a little more informative??
